Nigerian Tennis Players Resort To Gambling After Losing Matches



According to P.M. News Sports (sorce)  report came that tennis players at the ongoing Nigeria Ports Authority, NPA Tennis Open resorted to gambling after losing their preliminary and first round matches.
The players, who were switching positions, used the players’ lounge as their base and caused all sorts of nuisance in the course of the betting game which they used playing cards to prosecute.
One player, identified as Kayode, had to borrow money on numerous occasions as he was not lucky enough to win while the betting was going on.

Henry return a certainty, says Wenger

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger said on Tuesday that former great Thierry Henry will “certainly” return to the club in some capacity in the future.
Henry, Arsenal’s record goal-scorer, announced on Monday that he will leave Major League Soccer outfit the New York Red Bulls after a four-and-a-half-year spell in the United States.
The 37-year-old recently told French sports newspaper L’Equipe that he wants to “help” Arsenal win the Champions League and Wenger believes it is only a matter of time before he returns to the Emirates Stadium.

Henry Close To Arsenal Coaching Role



Thierry Henry has dropped the biggest hint yet that a return to Arsenal could be his next step.

The New York Red Bulls star, who could play his final game in MLS on Saturday in the second leg of the Eastern Conference final against the New England Revolution, is widely believed to be retiring from playing soccer when his 2014 MLS season is over.

The contenders for this year’s FIFA Ballon d’Or award for the best player of 2014 and for the FIFA Women’s World Player of the Year 2014 award were announced today on FIFA.com.

In alphabetical order, the FIFA Ballon d’Or nominees are: Cristiano Ronaldo (Portugal), Lionel Messi (Argentina) and Manuel Neuer (Germany), while Nadine Kessler (Germany), Marta (Brazil) and Abby Wambach (USA) will contest the women’s award.

Algeria’s Brahimi Wins BBC African Footballer Of The Year



Algeria’s Yacine Brahimi has been voted the BBC African Footballer of the Year 2014.

The 24-year-old midfielder becomes the first Algerian to win the award, which is decided by football fans.

Porto winger Brahimi told BBC Sport: "It’s a big honour for me to receive this wonderful trophy. I owe it to my country, Algeria, and to all the people who voted for me.

Keshi Refutes Reports that He Resigned, His Contract Expired

Dr. Tammy Danagogo, the Minister of Sports and Chairman of the National Sports Commission (NSC) says that head coach of the Super Eagles Stephen Keshi has not reigned.
In a statement released the minister said, “It is not true that Keshi has resigned. He told me that he never said so, that his contract only expired. I expect the NFF to the needful.”
According to Channels Television, the minister says Keshi should be treated with some respect by the football administrators, who should first discuss the matter of his contract with him before making it a press issue.
Keshi also refutes the reports saying that he only told players that the match against France may be his last with them as his contract had expired with the World Cup.

According to the information, she died after observing an all night reading on Thursday 3rd April 2014 to prepare for her quiz the next day but to the surprise of everybody she did not wake up to go for the lecture.

When her friends got tired of waiting for her to wake, they started to bang on her door to know whether she will open but she never did.

After several knocking and banging on the door, they then broke into her room only to find nothing else but her lifeless darkened and changed body.
