APC Governors 'Forced' To Charter Tinubu's Jets For N2m Per Trip?

Tinubu Five Private Jets …how He Forces Apc Govs To Charter Them Per Trip That Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is a godfather of uncommon proportion is not in doubt but what many do not know is the iron –clad stranglehold he has on the All Progressive Congress governors, especially those elected on the platform of the defunct Action Congress of Nigeria, as sources close to the Jagaban Borgu claim he has them at his beck and call and superintending them as a headmaster would his pupils. It is equally no news that the former Lagos State governor is super rich; so rich that many believe he controls the resources of Lagos State from his Bourdillion Road abode with vast landed properties scattered all over the state, with a great presence in hospitality industry and the media.
What many do not know however is the fact that the Asiwaju has an equally large presence in Aviation with an avalanche of private jets that services the needs of the high and mighty in the land. Impeccable sources close to Asiwaju Tinubu confided in Paparazzi Magazine that the APC national leader has a total of five private jets that are used for chattered flight services in his kitty. “I can confirm on group authority that Asiwaju has five private jets he uses for chartered flight services and the jets have been busy ferrying VIPs across the country and beyond. Asiwaju is not just a politician but a shrewd business man who has been investing in different sectors and maximising profit from them”, a source said. Another source, who is an APC chieftain, also confided in Paparazzi Magazine that as a way of ensuring maximum returns on profit, the Jagaban Borgu made it compulsory for APC governors, especially those in the South West and the comrade governor in Edo State, to patronise the charter services of the five private jets for their travels within the country. According to the source: “It has become a taboo for APC governors in the South West and Edo State to make travel arrangements outside the private jets belonging to Asiwaju Tinubu. They are expected to fly the private jets for all their travels within the country and this comes at the princely sum of N2million per trip. Even yhe otherwise austere Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola travels with the private jets and alights at the Ibadan Airport to travel by road to Osogbo. The order for this arrangement is so stringent that none of them flouts it. The only time the order was flouted was when Gov. Adams Oshiomhole declined patronising the private jets and this led to a faceoff between Asiwaju and Oshiomhole. That has since stopped because Oshiomhole now patronises the Tinubu jets”, the source said. Paparazzi investigations has it on good authority that Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu, as part of his expansionist agenda, has perfected ways of getting back what a source described as his huge human and financial investment in the electoral fortunes of his party in different states in the South West. The source confided in Paparazzi that since the 2007 elections when Tinubu decided to spread his tentacles to the entire South West geopolitical zone, he has committed so much of his personal resources to capturing power in the states and at the same time held the states by the jugular in recouping his investment in the states. “Those who are privy to Asiwaju’s investments in the states and the candidates he promotes for election will readily give him kudos for his heavy investments in the various states of the South West and Edo. He has been in the forefront of reclaiming the old western region from the ruling PDP and he has done a yeoman’s job in this regard over the years. I sincerely see nothing wrong in profiting from where you sowed. It is a biblical principle that whatever a man sows that he shall reap. Tinubu has sown and it is only natural for him to reap from the people he invested in”, the source said. Sources in states like Ekiti, Ogun, Oyo, Osun and the likes swore that most of the developmental projects in the states, especially road projects are almost the exclusive preserve of Tinubu and his close circuit of trusted cronies. An APC stalwart, who spoke with Paparazzi from Lagos on phone swore that Asiwaju Tinubu is perhaps one of the major reasons why there seem to be some form of stunted growth in some APC states thought to be the leading lights in infrastructural development in the country. The source states that: “APC states in the South West were states that offered the nation some ray of hope when they were taken over by the then ACN but the speed and enthusiastic approach with which the states kick started has been destroyed because of the insistent of Asiwaju to corner most of the contracts in the states through his cronies. In Lagos, it has become common knowledge that Asiwaju’s companies and cronies are virtually in charge of most of the jobs the state government is involved in and the private jets chatter instruction is just a continuation of his domination of the politics and economies of the states in the South West”, concluded our source. It will be recalled that Asiwaju Bola Ahmed had some time ago acquired Kayode Odukoya’s moribund Bellview Airline and changed the name to First Nation Airline. Sources who spoke to Paparazzi are of the view that the five private jets may be operating under the First Nation umbrella, which they believe will make it legitimate for the autocratic order that all APC governors must patronise the jets for their local travels.
